Swing Movement
- Transition from T-Formation/Approach Formation to Epistle/Gospel-side formation (or vice versa).
- Acolytes ascend so that the Celebrant, Deacon, Subdeacon, Senior Acolyte, and Junior Acolyte are all in a line straight from the Tabernacle down the High Altar steps, one per step.
- They all turn shoulders together and walk on their own steps toward the correct side. Lower steps must walk more quickly to keep up.
- Reverse to return to T-Formation/Approach Formation.
- When Crucifer and Thurifer are present (i.e. during the Credo):
- Acolytes are holding Processional Candles.
- Use the order of the Epistle and Gospel-side Formation, and move in the same manner as a (larger) line.
- When returning to T-Formation, if the next movement will be another Swing Movement, the Servers should stay on their steps in a line.
